For months I felt she'd go home to the Lord when my uncle Jeff and cousin Jerry went home after Christmas. I didn't know it would be so sudden, without any warning. That's probably best - I can't imagine saying goodbye, knowing it was the end. I wish my cousin Mike and his family could have come home for Christmas too. That day I didn't think about it possibly being my last day to give her a hug and a kiss - if I had, I would have lingered a little longer. Our last few visits Emery would stand behind Grandmommy with his hand on her shoulder, giving her a little massage - sweet and comforting. No one in the nursing home knew that she was near the end yesterday. My dad was by her side when she breathed her last breath and his sisters had been there as well. While I cry, I praise the Lord.
Grandmommy donated her body to my Alma Mater, Wright State University for research. A memorial service is being planned.

Here is a layout of my "baby" - creating it was my therapy for the morning as I remembered how Grandmommy looked at Marly and said his name on Christmas Day!

Paper from Moon is Star by New Life Dreams (darkened). Frippery by TADA. Fonts are Edmunds (with MY glitter styles, from Branching Out mega kit by Team Divine) and DJB Cinda.
On a lighter note, my star layout from yesterday was featured as "Member Layout of the Day" at Divine Digital!
